An Integrative & holistic Approach
Naturopathic medicine is a distinct health care profession that emphasizes prevention of illness, and treatment through least force methods whenever possible. The underlying goal of naturopathic medicine is to encourage a patient’s self-healing mechanisms. The practice of naturopathic medicine includes modern and traditional, scientific, and empirical methods. While many naturopathic doctors are trained in primary care, like conventional medical doctors (MDs), some choose to specialize or focus their practices.
Our
Focus & Specialties
Primary Care/General Healthcare: First visit - 60 mins; Follow-up visit - 45 minutes
Appropriate for regular check-ups or acute healthcare needs, we are trained to offer both preventative primary care and general care for adults. The first visit is about 60 minutes and includes a comprehensive history, physical exam, labs when indicated, and treatment plan. Follow-up visits are about 45 minutes, and include brief reassessment of your condition, as well as physical exam, new or repeat labs as needed, and adjustments to your treatment plan. Our emphasis is removing barriers to your body's natural healing, and identifying the root cause of your discomforts.
Mental Health
Mental health includes our emotional, psychosocial, and psychological well-being. It impacts and intersects with how we relate to others, how we make our choices, and how we handle stress. If you’ve ever felt down for a long period of time or felt anxious in your life, you probably have some understanding of how important the relationship between our bodies and our minds is in our daily life. Our physicians are trained to offer specialized care and support for your mental health needs, and can help improve the balance between body and mind.
LGBTQ Care
People who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender are diverse but have a common need for health care that is culturally competent and responds to their unique health care risks and needs. We are gay clinicians offering primary care to Seattle’s LGBTQ community, and our goal is to provide excellent evidence-based care in a space that is open and accepting.
